Windows SharePoint Services allows people to share files and lists with each other over the web.  SharePoint features a wiki tool as well as enhanced integration with Microsoft Office 2007, so that users can synchronize Office documents via their SharePoint site.

SharePoint sites are generally free to organizations at the university, but note that sites are usually private and not viewable by the public.  Special configurations might be possible at an hourly charge for the service administrator’s time.
